Yesterday, I was talking with one of the first contractors to install radiant floors using plastic materials. He still is installing them. The conversation was about using thermal nails, nails vs screws; and many other subjects. He prefers screws because thermal nails have glue on them, heat changes the adhesion; so gluing the materials down doesn't help. Straight nails or staples pull out.
