get the plastic switch box made for installing in walls where you cannot attach to a wall stud. the type that essentially clamps the box to the drywall or paneling. they use plastic tabs that sandwich the wall material between the plastic box and a metal wing that tightens up on the back side when you use a phillips screw driver to tighten it into place. Hope this helps. others may have better suggestions....paneling (since its so thin) installationn with this box will not be as strong as when used on drywall but should be adequate. LJ
