Did he used a router and a flush cut bit?..........The correct "order" is the edges first ......then the Top.................Hubby can clean off the glue with a razor-blade and lacquer thinner......the bearing needs to be clean......Or buy a new beveled trim bit for the router..........And just Re-Cut the edge........

Careful handwork with a file can also clean up the edge..........Always stroke DOWN to avoid lifting the laminate............

BUT.......If he's really BURNED the edges they may need to be replaced
