rotting subfloor

Posted by dealga on January 5th, 2003 05:05 PM

Replaced my dishwasher only to find that it has been leaking and has thoroughly soaked the particle board sub-flooring. The particle board had turned to "mud" under the diswasher - have scraped it out, but there has been some seeping into areas under hardwood floor & kitchen cabinets next to it. Should I have the hardwood flooring ripped out and replaced along with the cabinets to replace the sub-flooring? Or is there an alternate solution that could save time and money? Help!
