A church member's son was married in our church recently. We were unaware that the bride was going to have rose petals strewn all over the floor. The floor is an old, light colored hardwood from the early 1920s, with little if any shellac. When the wedding party walked on the rose petals they were trodden into the floor, and left red marks on the light floor. I have not yet tried to remove them. I want to use whatever will do the least damage to the floor. Does any one have any suggestions on what would be best to try? I would prefer to use something that just takes up the rose petal red, if possible. Thank you.
