I'm not totally sure I'd use this stuff on a roof; there other cement-based products specifically designed for that. If you wanted to try it, though, you can save yourself the trouble of cutting it. James Hardie Co. makes a version of it already in shingle form. It comes in panels with straight, staggered and scalloped edges and in individual shingles. You can find it at:
