Another way to install a low slope roof is to simply half lap the paper with roofing tar evenly spread (3/16")between the layers.Proceed with installing shingles,put more tar ,half lap the tar paper intall more shingles.Cotinue this till project is complete.Careful not to get too far ahead of yourself with the half lap and tar .
Reason being it is very fragile there for it will tear easily getting onto the bottoms of your foot wear and possibly track onto the face of the newly installed shingles.
