Roof trusses.

A lot of factors have tobe looked at first.
Where you live, heavy snow,high winds,what type of
tile you will have on the roof. in your part of the world
you have both down load factor and lift factor, the way the
trusses are/have been made depends on the load factor.
(Down load) if you have a lot of snow,so you must have strong
joists for the loading (weight)
(Lift factor) Goes the other way, the wind factor is important
when the wind hits the eves it will try to lift the roof, so the
strenght is in the way the trusses have been constructed.
So go for the larger timber.
