WOW, so many bad experiences with Ralph Lauren paint! I did my bedroom in River Rock grey, and it turned out beautifully. The trick is the number of coats-the paint is very hard to work with, and two coats is never enough. I ended up using about 4-5 coats, and though the ceiling has some streaking, it really isn't noticeable. If you are patient, eventually it looks great. I have now redone two other large rooms with RL paints, and they all look great, however, it IS more expensive to do it this way.
