ripping up old carpet

Posted by gini on June 4th, 2000 05:07 PM

I'm ripping up my old carpet to get to the hardwood floors underneath. There is a narrow piece of wood with sharp spikes sticking up around the edges of the wall. What is the best way to remove these boards without damaging the hardwood floor underneath? The narrow boards are nailed down tightly.
