Deecee, I am not blaming them, I know for sure that they get their top soil from the bottom of a river, a friend of mine works in the garden dept., and he told me.
So if thats true, then the grass is dying because theres no "good" soil for the roots to grow in, the soil is like cement with no water for 2 days!
K smith, I live in CT. I ordered 3 yards of top soil to fill in a sink hole I had. There was weeds at the time so I spread the screened soil and realized I didn't have enough so I bought Top Soil from Home Depot. I then spread "Scott" grass seeds with fertilizer on top (not to much). I watered 3 times a day for 2 weeks and had beautiful grass, It was mowed twice since then and now the grass is brown with many bald spots! It is a partly sunny area.(1pm-5pm) Do you think the sun did it?
