We just resurfaced our driveway yesterday. My husband and son did all the physical labor-I was the "supplies runner". Anyway, they cleaned the entire driveway with a pressure washer(rented for $20.)and degreaser where needed. They chipped several large chunks of old asphalt out of the cracks and then filled them with cold patch. I bought two different types and the cold patch in the 3gallon can works the best but is more expensive than the dry type in a bag. The guys then drove over the patched spots with their trucks. A water-based driveway sealant was then spread over the whole driveway and, even though it rained lightly within the first 24 hours, the job is perfectly smooth. It is raining again today and the job-holes and all- is holding up perfectly.
