Restoring Old Windows

Posted by Walden Mathews on January 30th, 1998 10:18 AM

I have a 100+ year old Victorian with the original
double-hung, single pane windows. Some of the wood
work is pretty distressed. I want to restore rather
than replace these windows. I'm concerned about their
tightness to the weather after I've stripped and re-
painted them. I'd be interested in knowing about any
kits for doing this kind of restoration, or anybody
with experience who could provide some basic tips.
