restoring cast iron tubs and sinks

I have been given a nice bouble sided sink I plan to use in my "new" kitchen. The sink has a 3" crack along the rounded top edge, it also needs to be reenamled in the same area.Any recommendations on how I can do this work myself? I have also been given 2 claw foot tubs that just need cleaning and repainting. I'm sure I can do this work myself, but need to know what steps to take and what paint to use? These appliances are going to be used in an 1891 barn my husband and I have taken down and are now in the stag of putting back up. Thank You, Kathleen Hutcheson
