restoring an antique woodburner

Posted by Jean on April 29th, 2003 03:25 PM

Anyone have any advice or know where I can get some advice on restoring an antique woodburner? Also, anyone ever heard of a Manchester # 117 (Mity Oak) woodburner...I can't seem to find anything on this. Mine looks similar to the one at this link:
For all I know, maybe mine's not even an antique (got it from my sister-in-law who wasn't sure if it was or not) and maybe just a reproduction. It looks antique and needs a lot of fixin' up and I need some advice on how to do it. Thanks in advance!
