I have a 1911 home which i am attempting to remodel on my own. I have removed all the old horsehair plaster and am wanting to insulate and re-drywall. The problem is if you put a 6-foot level on the walls it may be low as much as a half inch. The studs are also not flat up and down making shimming a pain! I would rather not have to completely reframe because of the cost in lumber, maybe i could go hortiontally with new studs? Can you help me? C. Ritchie
