I live in a house that was built in 1876. It is on a pier and beam foundation.

Have found a water leak, repaired it. After repairing the leak another showed up(weakest leak). I have decided to replumb the entire house due to the age of the pipes in place now.

I plan on replacing the water lines from the meter all the way to the last faucet. I want to use pvc pipe.
My question is this.. are there any regulations as to what the pipes MUST be made of? Can I use pvc from the meter in?

I intend on bypassing the exsiting lines. Leaving the stuff that is buried there in the ground.
any idea what the frostline depth is for San Antonio Tx.?

Thanks for the help
