Replacing Windows in 1916 Victorian but Can't find the right window

Posted by Rob on May 4th, 1999 11:58 PM

I recently bought a Victorian style house built in 1916. The windows are attrociously innefficient(single pained and EXTREMELY drafty).
A friend told me of a kind of window that just drops into the 'box' of the old one when the 'jams' and the old one are removed (apparently there was a show on it that I missed).
Does anyone have any information on where I can get more information on those windows. I been searching the web but no luck so far.
Thanks for your help,
Rob
