Okay. We have a rental house with a Chamberlain GD opener...have owned the house for approx. 12-15 years. Now we need to replace the REMOTES and all I can find at Lowe's (or Home Depot?) is the "Chamberlain Security +" replacement remotes. (New technology.) This opener is at LEAST 15 years, probably even up to 20 years old.

Opener works great, just need the remotes. I read in Consumer reports that Chamberlain is the manufacturer of Sears GD openers. So I went to Sears tonite to see if they have an opener for these older models. No luck. Said I have to go to the "parts/repair" store. I know where that is, but want to know if anyone else has some experience with this. I've driven all over town and am just about ready to suggest replacing the whole darn thing!

P.S. I did see (at Sears) a conversion kit for the Sears GD give it the "rolling codes" that constitute "Security +"

Can anyone help?
