We have dryvit on the front of our house (other 3 sides are vinyl). We have maintained the dryvit to near perfection. We are trying to sell our house now and can't even get anyone to look at it, despite a dryvit warranty and recent inspection. So, we are looking at replacing the dryvit with hardie-plank. Wondering if there are any opinions out there about these things:
1) Is this worthwhile being that we can't seem to sell our house with the dryvit
2) Will one side of hardie plank and 3 sides of vinyl look bad? Most houses in our neighborhood have brick fronts but replacing with brick does not make good financial sense.
3) Any alternative options to Hardie-Plank? We've looked at the Certainteed Vinyl Shake/Shingle but we aren't thrilled with vinyl.
Remember, we are doing this in order to sell our house, not for our own use.
