Replacing a window with Glass Block

Posted by Dan B on February 13th, 1998 11:36 AM

I am in the proccess of adding a shower to my bath. I want to fill the existing windows opening with glass block set flush with the finished tile, then run bullnose tile slightly overlapping the glass block.
I want to keep the nateral light, but solve the water problem a shower window can create.
Does anyone have any suggestions how to do this?
Once the window is removed what must be done to the opening before the block can be set?
Should the block be set in clear silicone or morter?
Also if the glass block is set flush with the interior tile how should I trim the exterior, as the block will be recessed a bit?

Thanks for all your help
Dan B.
