I've been given a quote from a contractor on 15 replacement windows. The size of the window range most around 41-42" but there are a few that may be 44" wide. Anyway, the type of replacement windows that I've been looking at include dbl pane (with internal grids) that includes argon gas and low E... and the windows are heavy vinyl rigid and fused. Under this scenario the cost of all windows from this contractor is $8530.. however, I can get the top of the line...same stuff but includes heat mirror for $10500. Is the heat mirror feature worth the difference? What if I can get the top of line for $10,000... does that make it a better choice? The contractor claims the heat mirror will cut heat losses by another 35%... is that possible? What should I do?
Thanks for addressing my questions.
