We have plaster ceilings in our home. Recently we experienced some roof leakage and damage has occurred. The ceilings have small cracks init and where the water damage was the cracks are larger. Is there a way to repair the plaster without replacing the ceiling with drywall. We have beautiful wood beam ceilings in the living room and dining room. I do not know of anyone who does the old plastering or if there is a way to repair it. Our home was built in 1911. The walls and ceiling structure are still very good, with the exception of our latest problem. Please any ideas....send my way. Thanks.
