Repainting pocket door

Posted by Jim on October 8th, 2000 04:28 PM

I just bought a new home that was built in the
early 50s and has an old, bare wood pocket door to one of the
bathrooms. Is there any way to get the door
out and back in without tearing up the wall, so I
can paint it properly? Or, do I have to paint it as
best I can while it's in the slot? (This latter
option means the paint line will be very visible
when the door is shut.)

Thanks, Jim
