Removing water based primer

Posted by Kim Machir on February 11th, 2003 09:38 PM

Two questions:
We recently painted a room in our house. We didn't mask the wood trim as well as it needed, and some of the water based primer (FastPrime2) streaked onto the wood trim. Any suggestions for removing it? There is also some old paint. I don't know what kind -- this is my first painting experience.

ALSO -- here's the weird one. We also got primer on the trim around the door, which seems to be made of STEEL, painted to look like wood. (A magnet will stick to it.) Got a suggestion for removing the primer there? I figure sanding is out.
