Somwhere in the garage (if you have one) there is
an old tool box, look for an old wide screwdriver
the largest flat head you can find.
Also you will need a bit of timber 1/2" or 3/4"thick
and about 6" to 8" long, when you have theses we can start
Place the timber on the floor about 2" back from the strip
put the driver on the timber the busines end of the driver you
place between the floor and the strip (not too hard)now push
the driver into the strip and at the same time press down on the
driver and pushing and pressing at the same time, the strip "should"
lift, you can do this also with a wide wood chisel "an old one is the best"
(it saves a lot of problems later,) like, "Who the #%@# been using my tools"
It will work but take your time.
Good luck.
