We will be getting new granite counter tops in our kitchen, but first I have to get rid of the current formica ones. They're in good shape and about 5 years old (we just want the granite).
1) Can I remove these myself, or is this a job better suited for a professional?
2) Is it possible to remove the tops without breaking them? I'd like to reuse many of the smaller pieces and the top of the island as counter tops in a work shop.
3) Any suggestions for what I could do with the corner piece that has a sink hole in it? Or, where would I dispose of it (our association specifically forbids construction debris in the trash).
