Removing Mastic

The bathroom in our new house had tile on the walls 4 feet high. I was successful in removing the tile with a chisel and the mastic with an electric wood planer. The blade takes a beating and you have to patch a couple of holes here and there, but it sure beats replacing all of the drywall. Be sure to use eye protection,a dust/gas mask and hearing protection. For quick clean up, attach your shop vacuum to the particle outlet of the planer.
