Removing glue from new hardwood floor

Posted by Fran on December 10th, 2002 12:03 PM

Can any one advise on the best way to remove carpenter's glue from a new hardwood floor without damaging the surface? It is a Lauzon floor with a titanium finish.

We have tested samples using the finest grade of steel wood with a little oil, it removes most of the glue but will this damage the surface? None of the following work: Acetone ( nailpolish remover), TSP, Varsol, paint remover.

Any suggestions?
