We are grout and ceramic tile restoration $ installation contractors located on long island in NY. We find this method to be the most reliable ,After you pull up the linoleum use a glue adhesive remover if that doesn't work then here is a solution,
There is a product called Rock Miracle usually used for furniture paint stripping. This product containes Methylene Chloride wich is a heavy duty solvent it is also not allowed to be sold in some states hopefully yours is not one of them. Open all the windows put on safety equipment including air mask and start stripping the glue.
Follow all manufacturers directions carefully,
This is a water soluable product so you will need a lot of rags and buckets of clean water.
After this procedure waite 24 hrs. to prep concrete if you need to know how to do that you can write to us in this forum.
