My kitchen is 21 years old and has gorgeous solid maple cabinetry throughout. Unfortunately, it also has formica counter tops and backspashes. I want to replace all of the formica with tile before replacing my appliances (also 21 years old). Problem is, the backsplashes run up underneath the cabinets.

How can I go about removing the formica without destroying my cabinets?
