removing faux and stucco finish

Posted by Robin on February 13th, 2003 12:49 PM

I just bought a house with faux finishes in the bathrooms which I dislike, as well as a stucco-type finish in the kitchen on one wall which may be a mixture of sand or other grit in a compound, so that the wall has a relief look with some color then sponged in. I'm looking for info on how to restore the wall so that I can simply paint it. I'd appreciate all advice for restoring walls with faux/stucco finishes?
