removing an interior wall

I want to remove an interior wall between two bedrooms. There is no door between them, but there are electrical outlets on both sides of that wall. I do not know if it is load bearing or not. My house is one level and we do not store anything in the attic. We bought the house in 1982 and have been the only residents of it. (No lead paint.) I use the one room as an office an want to open it up for a combination office and excercise room.

I also plan to have a carpenter come out and put in a built in bookcase in one of the doorways, since both will not be needed. We are only in our 50's and do not plan to sell for a long time.
