Removing a Wall and Cold Air Return

Posted by Vito Cirone on January 6th, 2003 10:10 PM

We are in the process of removing an interior wall within a two storey house that has a cold air return located within it, and it also feeds the cold air return for 2 bedrooms located upstairs (above). I understand I can replace the main floor wall vent with a floor mounted vent, but what do I do for the upstairs vents that will no longer be connected? There is another cold air return located in another upstairs bedroom -is this enough and can I go without reconnecting the original vents?? If not, what are my alternatives??
