Removing a load bearing wall.

I know it's a huge no-no, but is it ok if I were to suppoert it with a huge beam made out of say, 2X10's or so?

The span is 14 feet and is now supported with 4 3X4's with I want to replace with two big columns on the ends with said huge beam.

If 2X10s aren't good enough, what would work if anything?
