well keith, tubs are framed in after they are set in place. this makes it tricky to get them out, unless you have done it a few times, i would remove the drywall up about 3' above the tub on the plumbing end, then cut the 3 or so 2x4's at that point, this will release the wall enough to raise that end of the tub up & out. if you have a cast iron tub, it weighs about 300 lbs, you may have to use a dolly & a couple of friends to get it out. the other way that it is done is to take it out thru the wall, most tubs are located on an outside wall, if you have brick siding it cant be done, there may be other ways, i would love to hear them, good luck keith
