I don't understand your 1st question.

2. 1 option is to apply a polymer product which
can be imprinted or textured and stained, the
following is an example resinprint overlay
Another option would be to apply ceramic or stone
tile directly to the concrete counter using the
proper adhesive and grout.

3. The edge could be applied in the same manner

4. Forever? Any type of concrete staining will
require on-going maintenance. The nearest to
forever would be a granite counter, you could also
apply granite tiles as mentioned above. There are
some companies on the web that sell granite bullnose
in several profiles.

Last idea... a small sledge hammer should facilitate
easy removal of the concrete counter and you could
install any counter you like. If any single section
can be removed in tact it might make a good top
for a picnic table, just add legs.
