My husband and I have very old linoleum-approx 30 years old in our kitchen and den area. We have recently purchased ceramic tile to go in the kitchen and den. The company we bought the tile from says we have to remove the old linoleum ourselves, that they will not subject there workers to aspestos that is in the linoleum. They say we are to do it and we have to purchase a special tool ($29.95) to do this. Of course the tool will be no good to us for anything else-we can't take it back and what about our health? Are we supposed to take the old linoleum off ourselves-is this so?
