getting a "paper tiger" wall paper removal tool. then saturating the area with water. The more water that the old paper absorbs the easier it is to remove. Work a small section at a time and always wet ahead of the current job. The paper tiger makes many holes in the old paper so that the water will get behind the paper and cause ease in releasing.

Be patient, this is not an easy job. You might want to tackle one wall at a time.
