Hi Steven
Assuming the brick on the house was new (not used) when installed 25 years ago, it shouldn't be that old now. It may need a good cleaning using an acid mix or a brick cleaning solution, available from home improvement centers or brick yards. I would think real hard before I painted the brick. Once paint goes on, it will be almost impossible to completely remove it in the future. One of the benefits of brick is that it requires little maintenance. If you paint it, the brick will become a maintenance exterior.

One other thing, Steve. Might want to take your all-caps off when writing a message....sounds like you are SHOUTING! **smile**
