refinishing old pine floor

Posted by keith on November 24th, 2001 11:08 AM

I've reached a point and am not sure how to proceed.I have uncovered the floor in my daughters bedroom to find pine plank from 12" to 18" wide in reasonably good shape. There is a seam that runs down one side of the room about 1 1/2' from the wall. I'm sure that the boards run through under the wall. Two of the boards in the doorway need some repair, there are a few large gaps where the touge and groove don't meet or has broken off. I would like to refinish but I don't know if I should try and replace the bad board or if I can find a plank of that size. I do have access to a custom mill. If I do replace How far do I go?
