refacing kitchen cabinets with veneer

Posted by Deb on March 24th, 2003 09:31 PM

I am refacing my kitchen cabinets with 10mil paper-backed veneer (not the peel and stick type). The doors are laminite. How do I prep them and what is the best adhesive to use to make sure the veneer sticks. Also is there a special finish I should use to make sure the veneer does not separate from the paper? I've refinished table tops with contact cement and papered veneer and finished with a rub-on poly, I've had problems with bubbles.
