Thanks David. I am not sure that the window was made for the A/C. That's what sort of baffles me because there is a wooden frame on the outside in the brick wall and a wooden frame inside as well as though there was a previous window. There is a gap inside as if there had been a window but there would have been no sashes because it would have probably been too small to open that way...maybe it somehow pulled open. (The house was built in the early 20s) Another factor that makes me think that there was previously a window there is because there is plexiglass surrounding the air conditioner where there are spaces and it looks like the wooden portions of a previous pane window have been placed in front of the plexiglass atop the air conditioner (maybe for decorative purposes). What do you think?
