then to decide if you want to stain the pine or use sanding sealer/conditioner then stain...go to the home center hardware store, purchase a piece of pine, your stain and a qt of sealer.
On one half of the pine board use the sealer, let it dry according to the directions and then stain the entire board.
Do you see how blotchy the un sealed side is? How would you rather have your dry sink look?
