re-wiring wall with coax

Posted by Mark M on February 28th, 1999 06:43 PM

My problem is my walls. I have just placed a new antenna in my attic and was
planning to use existing wires in my wall. However, I discovered that the coax
had rotten insulation (Don't know how, but it was falling apart.) Anyway, I
ripped out the old cable and was trying to run the new cable I got down the wall
from my attic to the plate in the wall. There was already a hole in the horizontal
cross-beam, so I threaded it through there. It appeared to hit bottom, but it is not
anywhere in the wall pannel at the bottom, so it must be getting stuck somewhere. Is
pulling out the wire, running fish tape and using it to pull the wire the best option?
Any other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
