I live in Hawaii and want to know what you would recommend we use. No. 1 CCA (Treated)Cedar Shake vs. Presidential or Malarkay Laminated Shingles. We like the look of the Wooden Shake but not sure which material is best. I original had wooden shake and after 2o yrs. I installed a 50 yr. (Chemwood) Permatec Shake. This material is 12 yrs. old and need to be replace due to deteriation. The manufacturer (Chemwood) went out of business and this mateiral is no longer available under its warranty.
We would really appreciate it if you would advise us what would be best.
