Brian's representation is 100% false. It sounds like he wants your house to rot so he can re-stucco it. Take Bill Darlington's advice. The last thing you want is water penetrating your stucco. Once that happens, your framing will become moist and become a sure target of dryrot and termites... Elastomeric paint is made to keep water from penetrating, and works as a raincoat.
