if you look on the back of the range there will be a plate that will tell you how much current the range draws...depending on the unit it will either tell you in amps or in calculate watts into amps...take the wattage and divide it by the voltage usually 220...then use the wire designed to handle the load you plan to put on it

generally you will end up using either 6-3 AWG or 8-3 AWG...
