Ralph Lauren Satin, Matte Paints

Posted by Renee on February 24th, 2003 10:26 AM

I have had enormous difficulty with some of Ralph Lauren paints. My painters cannot get the paint right on the ceilings - it's taken 5 coats to get Evocative Sunlight matte nicely on the ceiling and it has cost me a lot of money I didn't need to waste. (That said, the colour is terrific). The darker colours are fine - it's the lighter ones that seem to be difficult. And one needs to expect to layer three coats to get the result. While I love the colours, the application has been far from satisfying and very expensive considering the cost of the paint. I also recently did a faux finish with Persimmon metallic and it came out hot fuscha instead of what I thought I purchased. I am getting tired and broke going through this guessing game - is it time for a switch?
