I recently painted an old "project" armoire using the crackling finish, Cowgirl Blue as the basecoat, and Studio Bright White as the top coat. I could not be happier with the results! I was a little wary of trying it after reading some posts here, but it turned out fabulous even when using a brush. The trick is to apply the top coat as quickly as possible over the crackle or the paint will lift and you won't get the desired effect. If you use a brush you'll get bigger "cracks", a roller will produce finer cracks. I am thoroughly pleased with the results and now have a perfectly adorable 'French country' armoire!
